Rosa and Ben

I just realised I haven't really mentioned that I have the most beautiful baby niece and nephew ever :D (well i am a little biased) Rosa was one last saturday and Ben is one in May! I love them both dearly and I look after Ben every other friday :D they are very cute!

Rosa's poncho!

Here is my beautiful niece Rosa, wearing the poncho I knitted her for her first birthday which was last saturday! Its knitted with essence wool and I made the pattern up, theres a little flower on the hood too but its round the side!

Hats!

a couple of funny hats that my mum made for my sister and I using wool from a crochet scarf she bought in a charity shop and dismantled!! x

Rosie's jumper

Here are my cousins' two lovely children, Noah 4 and Rosie 5. Rosie is wearing a jumper that my nan had just knitted for her using 4ply self patterning sock wool!! wasnt the cheapest wool but i love the effect!!

knitted slippers

I found an easy slipper pattern online the other day (knittingpatterncentral) and decided to make them as a birthday present using 2 slightly different shades of purple dk and a purple speckly wool (patons moonglow) for the stripes! They are really stretchy and even though they look small, they suposedly fit a size 4-7 womens shoe (im a 5). see what you think:

I havnt quite mastered the art of neat sewing up yet as you can see.. but they stay together! The toe is moss stitch and a 'sole' is formed with odd purl stitches, creating the ridge effect you can see. I plan to make some more in different colours and sizes etc....

Crochet squares!

This is my first crochet square ever: and my second....
I might make a blanket or cushion cover or something out of this one... hence its still attached to ball of wool, but not sure yet!!
anyone have any suggestions for what to make next ?

Gloves

I am now in the middle of making some 'fingerless flap' gloves for a birthday present, using a pattern i made up. They are a kind of cross between mittens and fingerless gloves using shivago dk wool and a kind of light blue mohairy wool that i found in a charity shop! Right found the buttons to add photos- better go and take them!! ciao for now x

Photos!! as you can see I havn't got too far with them yet!
you can kinda see the mitten shape on the right... right?
